Observational data download
The data download is done in few steps :
- Select the period for which you want to retrieve data.
- Select the parameters you want to download. The download will provide only the flight for which at least one of the parameters is available.
- Select the ancillary parameters. Those pararameters are not measured by the insrtruments but are model data.
- Select the mission. You can choose to download data from only one or some of IAGOS sub-projects.
- Select the geographical area. You can use the drag and drop selection on the map or enter the coordinates in the fields.
- Choose the type of the results of your selection:
- Entire IAGOS flights which have at least one observation matching the selection.
- Only the profiles : A file per vertical profile matching the selection.
- Choose the file format. See the page for more information.
You have different actions available :
- Search :
- This action is available even if you aren’t logged in.
- It will display on the map the tracks of the flights matching the selection.
- It will also display the list the flight with their information and a link to their quicklook.
- If you have chosen “Only the profiles” as result type then the airports will be displayed on the map instead of the tracks.
- Download :
- You need to be connected to download the data.
- Your download will start automatically. It’s a zip file containing the result of your selection.
- The download can take a long time if you request return a large amount of flights.
