For each observation measured by IAGOS-CORE and IAGOS-CARIBIC instruments, uncertainty and two quality flags are provided.
Uncertainty
The uncertainty is provided for all the measurements made by IAGOS sensors. See here for the calculation of uncertainty for each variable.
Data processing level flag
This flag provides the data processing level the observation.
Value | State of processing |
---|---|
0 | Raw data |
1 | Intermediate data |
2 | Final quality controlled data |
See the definition of the data processing levels for more information.
Validity flag
This flag provides the quality of the observations. A quality flag is also provided on the meteorological fields and coordinates since it sometime may evaluated.
Value | State of validty | Definition |
---|---|---|
0 | Good | Passed documented required QC tests |
2 | Limited (questionable/suspect) | Failed non‐critical documented metric or subjective test(s) |
3 | Erroneous/bad | Failed critical documented QC test(s) or as assigned by the data provider |
4 | Not validated | Used for data when no QC test performed or the information on quality is not available |
7 | Missing value | Used as placeholder when data are missing |
